A themed birthday is much easier when the guest count comes before the shopping list. Start by confirming who will sit at the table, then decide which parts of the room need to carry the farm & barnyard theme.
This checklist is intentionally practical. It leaves room for food, movement and the last-minute changes that happen with real parties.
Build the table by guest count
Start with the Farm & Barnyard party pack
The builder uses live Shimmer & Confetti products and shows the sealed package quantities before you add anything to your cart.

Two weeks before the party
Confirm the guest list, party length and main activity. Measure the table and the wall or corner you plan to decorate. Order the pieces that define the theme first: farm plates, cow-print cups and napkins, a tablecover, pennant banners and birthday balloons.
How much tableware should you buy?
Count every child who will eat, including siblings. Add two extra place settings for spills, seconds or a late reply. The party-pack builder rounds quantities to the sealed retail packages sold on the site, so the total may be slightly higher than the guest count.
- 8 guests: plan for 10 usable settings.
- 16 guests: plan for 18 settings and a second drink station.
- 24 guests: separate food, cake and gifts so one crowded table does not slow the party.
Three days before
Group supplies by job rather than by product. Keep tableware together, decorations together and activity materials together. Inflate only the balloons that suit your available space and follow the individual product instructions.
The night before
Set the tablecover, banner and uninflated decorations in place. Leave food-contact items wrapped until the day of the party. Put a rubbish bag, paper towel and spare cups somewhere adults can reach quickly.
